You are either reading this because you are thinking of beginning therapy or your parent/guardian/ trusted support person sent you this link with the hopes they can get you to start therapy.

Well let’s begin with a few simple questions:

  • What is your understanding of therapy?

  • What do you want to get out of therapy?

  • What are some fears you have about therapy?

Some concerns you may have is that I will tell your guardian what you shared in your therapy session, that therapy is going to be boring, or that therapy might not even work.

Truth is, therapy is what you make of it. The results of therapy are based on your level of motivation, honesty, transparency, commitment, consistency, and effort.

Navigating your childhood and adolescent years can be very difficult. I strongly believe counseling is the most effective and rewarding choice towards finding a healthy solution. As your therapist, my goal is to ensure you feel safe, emotionally supported, and heard. You can accomplish anything with the assistance of a positive therapeutic relationship that is individualized to serve your needs and pace.
